Meet the Doctors

Dr. Kathrynne Dryke is highly focused and truly enjoys people. Her passion for both creative art and the sciences, and her attention to detail, make dentistry a natural and perfect career. Dr. Dryke received her Bachelor of Science in biology with a minor in German language studies from the University of La Verne in La Verne, California. She subsequently earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. She received several awards, including the Crawford Award for excellence in dental research, and was honored to present her research findings at dental meetings in Singapore, Las Vegas, Orlando, and San Francisco. She was also honored with an award for excellence in the study of prosthodontics, the area of dentistry specifically concerned with complex treatment of occlusion, crown and bridgework, and denture fabrication.

Since dental school, Dr. Dryke’s dedication to excellence has continued. Each year she and her staff devote a significant portion of their time to attending professional conventions and advanced continuing education courses, so they can continually provide state-of-the-art services. Dr. Dryke is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association, Minnesota Dental Association, American Association of Women Dentists, and the Seattle Study Club for advanced dental learning.

Dr. Dryke and her husband, Jake, are both Duluth natives. They have four beautiful children, Sydney, Gracie, Max, and Simon. She and her family enjoy traveling, photography, cooking, art, and the outdoors.

Dr. Camille Zelen grew up in Maplewood, Minnesota. She attended the University of North Dakota on a swimming scholarship where she majored in Nursing. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and worked as a Cardiac Care Nurse for three years.

Dr. Zelen graduated from Creighton University Dental School in Nebraska in 2008. While in dental school she received multiple academic scholarships and volunteered for charities such as the Special Olympics as a dental screener for the athletes. Dr. Zelen worked in a general dental practice in Omaha, Nebraska for a year before relocating back to Minnesota with her family. Dr. Zelen is now certified with Clear Correct orthodontic treatment.

She is married to Dr. Dan Zelen, an SMDC radiologist and a Duluth native. They have three sons Tyler, Ryan and Joseph. The Zelen family likes to be active and they enjoy water skiing and downhill skiing. The children are busy with Mom and Dad attending soccer games and swim meets. Dr. Zelen is very happy to be back home in Minnesota and closer to family.
